A local art studio with which VSA Ohio often collaborates is currently hiring two individuals to work with artists with disabilities in their studio space in Grandview Heights, Ohio. See below for my details on the positions and how to apply!

Columbus Center for Human Services, Inc. (CCHS) is a not-for-profit organization that provides support services for adults with developmental disabilities through a variety of experiences. Open Door Art Studio (ODAS), a division of CCHS Inc., empowers artists with developmental disabilities to develop unique, artistic voices and to experience opportunities afforded through the arts. The two open positions are:


Studio Artist Direct Support Professional (part time)
The Studio Artist Direct Support Professional will provide individuals with direct personal care supports including assisting with meals, restroom needs and breaks. The Studio Artist Direct Support Professional will also provide assistance with creative product development, program implementation, cleaning, clerical, gallery prep and additional day-to-day operations of ODAS. Open Door is an open art studio setting offering several mediums. This is a creative hands-on position, as well as a direct support position. This is a part time position with an hourly rate determined on an individual basis. The Studio Artist Direct Support Professional must be availableTuesday through Friday from 10:30am to 4:30pm, will be expected to work some evenings and weekends and may be expected to work extra hours.
Gallery and Art Facilitator (full time)
The Gallery and Art Facilitator will provide individuals with direct personal care supports including assisting with meals, restroom needs and breaks. The Gallery and Art Facilitator will also provide assistance with creative product development, program implementation, case management, point of sale and gallery operations. Open Door is an open art studio setting offering several mediums. This is a full time position with an hourly rate determined on an individual basis. The Gallery and Art Facilitator must be available Mondaythrough Friday from 8am to 5pm, will be expected to work some evenings and weekends and may be expected to work extra hours. A flexible schedule is imperative.
 
These positions are available immediately and begins with a one week company orientation followed by a 120 day trial period.
