About: In this ‘hands on’, one day only workshop, we will share some of the rewarding techniques developed by the Sunapple Studio clay artists with our community. Sunapple Studio is a collaborative art studio operating within ARC Industries, http://sunappleco.com/studios. The amazing talents of these artists have allowed them to introduce several successful product lines in ceramics and mixed media art. Recently, Sunapple has grown enough to require the addition of production techniques in order to keep up with demand.

Our methods include mold-making, slip-casting and image transfer. Each student in this workshop will learn how to transfer a drawing onto a plaster form. The plaster form will then be able to be used over and over with slip or clay. This allows artists to create items in multiples, which facilitates production on small or large scales. Each participant will get to take home his/her plaster mold for future use. Please bring a great idea or even a sketch of a simple image, no text, which can fit into a 3” circle.

Please complete this registration form for each person in your party, including artists and support staff.

Presented by Sunapple Studios, Bareclay, VSA Ohio and the Ohio Arts Council.
