About the Workshop
Summer fun starts with an interactive and exciting workshop series focusing on Universal Design for Learning, authentic student assessment strategies, adaptive materials and inclusion strategies for instruction in the classroom, and movement!  The day includes an energetic welcome and keynote to get you pumped up, followed by three concurrent workshops. You won’t want to miss out on this opportunity, come join in the fun! The workshop will include a break for lunch.

About the Presenters
Dr. Dennis Cannon serves as Director of Student Teaching and Field Experiences for the Department of Arts Administration, Education and Policy at The Ohio State University.  His background includes teaching in the visual arts, gifted education, and more!

Gary DeVault recently retired as Fine Arts Consultant for the Tri-County Educational Service Center, where he supervised the curriculum and instruction of the educational programs in the areas of music, visual art, drama/theatre, dance, and other related gifted activities

Dr. Jan Fedorenko is currently the principal of Hanby Arts Magnet School, and Visual and Performing Arts Curriculum Coordinator for Westerville City Schools. Her career includes teaching at the public school and college levels, and she is a former arts consultant with the Ohio Department of Education.

Marissa Beth Nesbit was formerly the Director of Dance Education at the Southeast Center for Education in the Arts at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she led professional development workshops in arts integration for teachers in schools throughout the southeast and taught courses on arts integration and movement for actors.
